The Accounting Specialist I primarily performs accounting responsibilities to assist the Accounting Manager and Senior Finance Manager. This position will split time performing various accounting and administrative duties related to the maintenance of Allsup’s financial records and the remaining time will be responsible for making phone calls to SSA.
Bachelor's degree preferred with 6 months of work history or associate's degree with 2-4 years of work experience in the Accounting field or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Organizational, detail-orientation and solid verbal and written communication skills, a must. Candidate must be able to perform recurring tasks on a daily basis in a timely manner with accuracy. Knowledge of the Social Security disability process preferred.
