  • Overview

    The Bilingual Claims Specialist I position is responsible for educating Spanish speaking Social Security Disability beneficiaries, regarding the Social Security Ticket to Work Program. The position involves developing a beneficiary’s Individual Work Plan (IWP) and provides continuing support to ticket holders, ensuring job placement success. The position receives incoming calls and conducts outgoing calls to address questions, monitor condition and complete various forms as needed.  



    1. Receives incoming calls and conducts outgoing calls in a contact center environment; speaking with individuals and providing bilingual support as needed.
    2. Interviews individuals and completes initial assessments to determine if a beneficiary is eligible for SSA’s Ticket to Work Program.
    3. Educates and counsels beneficiaries on SSA’s Ticket to Work Program, the financial impact of returning to work as it relates to SSDI benefits and how Allsup Employment Services can assist.
    4. Monitors and understands an individual’s condition and prognosis to identify their potential ability to return to work and determine an estimated timeframe for recovery.
    5. Reviews beneficiaries past work experience and skills to complete Individual Work Plans (IWP).
    6. Provide job coaching, counseling, guidance and resources to unemployed ticket holder, in an effort to assist in a successful job placement.
    7. Provide other support as needed to employed ticket holder to ensure job placement success.
    8. Completes various forms and form follow ups as a beneficiary progresses through the Ticket to Work Program.
    9. Documents all actions and conversations in AES Point of Sale RTW system.
    10. Sets priorities and organizes workload to maximize productivity and achieve departmental goals.
    11. Maintains strict confidentiality of beneficiary and Allsup information.



    Bachelor's degree preferred or associate's degree with 6 months customer service and/or appropriate Allsup experience. Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
