Overview

The Client Facilitator is required to be knowledgeable in all aspects of Allsup Inc.’s Social Security Representation service, overpayment recovery, and the Long Term Disability (LTD) carrier’s disability claims process. Responsibilities include reviewing claims for SSDI potential, providing direct support for the LTD carrier, developing business relationships with disability claims managers, and serving as one of their key onsite Allsup contacts. The Client Facilitator must be a competent liaison between the LTD carrier and Allsup while monitoring the carrier’s SSDI offset process, recovery of overpayments, and return to work processes relating to SSDI. The Client Facilitator, in conjunction with the Allsup Account Manager, is responsible for resolving customer service issues relating to the LTD carrier and its claimants. The Client Facilitator will provide assistance and support to Allsup personnel in developing claims for SSDI representation.

Responsibilities

  1. Serves as a liaison between the LTD carrier and Allsup’s Claims Management maintaining direct dialogue and updates on the status of SSDI claims and workflow.
  2. Provides technical expertise regarding SSDI on specific claims for disability claims managers and maintains technical knowledge of all SSA programs and procedures.
  3. Timely screens all newly approved LTD claims for potential SSDI representation ensuring all necessary elements are present to make referral to Allsup.
  4. Reviews claims, tracks status, and updates LTD carrier’s claims system on all open LTD claims.
  5. Forwards documentation and referral checklists to Allsup.
  6. Rejects cases when appropriate and documents reason for rejection in systems.
  7. Recognizes and responds to questions and concerns regarding service issues and problems in a professional and timely manner.
  8. Consults with Allsup’s Claims Consultants on issues requiring greater SSA technical expertise.
  9. Works independently exercising initiative, good judgment, and strictly adhering to confidentiality practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Disability claims experience with Allsup, DDS, SSA or the LTD division of an insurance carrier required.

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of the Social Security disability process preferred. Excellent written, verbal and human relations skills. Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
